The CASO heirloom dining table shown
here was designed and built for a New York City client. Using
two leaves, it can be configured as a 60” round table, a
78” oval (as shown), and a very large 96” oval. This
table is a true work of art, as well as a substantial engineering
feat. The tables’ many features include:
An all-burl mesquite top featuring 4 book-matched pieces
A 4” pecan border with 14 inlaid mesquite stars
A mesquite apron with 14 3D pecan stars
A 24” wide, 22” tall mesquite log acts as the pedestal
12’ of _” thick-wall steel is routed into the top
of the stump to support the table top
4 holes were drilled from the top of the stump through the bottom
of the base and 24” long all-thread was used to attach the
stump to the base.
The base, pedestal and top combine to weigh approximately 800
lbs.
Pictures truly do not do it justice. It will be on display in
our showroom through July 2006.
Come view it in person!
