We welcome you to the Texas A & M Limited Edition Executive Desk from Unique Mesquite Custom Woodworks. This is a signed and numbered edition of heirloom quality executive desks crafted from your choice of traditional straight-grain mesquite ($7,250, as shown), a combination of a burl top/straight grain base ($9,250, as shown) or an extremely rare all burl mesquite desk ($14,000). No two desks will ever be alike—the qualities inherent in mesquite make it the perfect wood for premium, exclusive one-of-a-kind pieces. (Read more about why we use mesquite by clicking here). We have also built these desks using Bois D’Arc and grey-washed ash by client request.

The official Texas A & M university seal is not inlaid; it is engraved directly into the front modesty panel using a special 3-D process.

We designed our combination burl top/straight grain base prototype for and with input from Matt Rickaway ’95 (see Matt’s testimonial here). Matt was instrumental in urging us to make these desks available to other former students, and became a trusted and blessed friend as we moved through the process of creating his desk.

We designed our straight-grain prototype for and with input from Dr. Joe Gillespie DVM ’90. Joe worked around his extremely busy schedule to assist us in fine tuning his design, and it was more than worth the time spent for both parties. Thank you, Joe

Each of these woods can be bordered with native Texas pecan (as shown on the burl mesquite desk) or crafted entirely of mesquite (as shown on the straight grain desk). All woods used are Texas hardwoods---there are no imports from other countries. All of our burl mesquite logs and many of the straight-grain logs used in the creation of these desks are harvested from ranches scattered throughout South Texas by Harold Jambers ’71. We are extremely blessed to have Harold as our materials supplier—the quality of wood used to create these desks is second to none.

All of these desks are crafted by Texas artisan Vern Cook at the Unique Mesquite shop in Hondo, Texas. Vern will customize the length, width, and height of your desk. Not only are these desks beautiful; fitting your desk to you ergonomically helps to keep you fit, healthy and stress-free—not to mention very comfortable.
• Available lengths: 54-72” (extended lengths available at additional cost).
• Available widths: 28-36” (extended lengths available at additional cost).
• Height: Usually 29-31”, but if you are extremely tall or short, we can customize it to your specifications.
• In addition, your drawer configuration can be customized based on your wants/needs and the way you work. Most of our executive desks have 7 drawers---a file drawer on the bottom of the left and right sides with two smaller drawers placed above the file drawers, and a pencil drawer or keyboard tray in the middle of the desk—your preference.
• All drawer slides used in our desks are full-extension ball bearing slides with a lifetime guarantee. This means you can pull the drawer out to its entire length with no worries about the drawer falling out or spilling any of the contents.
• All desks are standard with adjustable legs in case your floor is not completely level (most floors are not completely level).
• Drawer pulls are a very personal part of a desk. We leave it to you to choose your own pulls. Installation of the pulls is included in the price of the desk, but the cost of the pulls is not. You may order and pay for your pulls and ship them to us, or we will order for you based on your instructions and add the cost to the final invoice.

Payment terms:
• 50% down payment
• 50% final payment including shipping costs. Shipping is dependent on your proximity to our shop in Hondo, Texas 78861.
