Kind Words From A Few Friends
Dear Will:
Finding your website in Texas Monthly has now blessed us with
the most beautiful hand-made mesquite desk imagineable!
Jim and I cannot thank you enough for this beautiful addition
to our new home, one that will stand the test of time and will
always remain a favorite piece. Jim has spent multitudes
of time already, arranging and re-arranging all he needs to
have everything in its place where he can find it! We
also thank you for the extra time and effort you gave to make
sure he had this surprise Christmas gift in in our home before
Santa came. We enjoyed your visit and look forward to
keeping in touch. Who knows, there may be other uniquemesquite.com
pieces in our future.
May God Bless you, and thank you!

Dear Will,
I just wanted to extend a note of gratitude for the fine piece
of heirloom furniture. As I we went through the process of
creating my desk I never knew it would be such a fine piece.
Having spent the first 25 years of my life in South Texas,
there is nothing like mesquite wood. I now feel I have a piece
of fine furniture that will be passed down to several generations.
Even as I no longer live in Texas, everyone who witnesses
this desk in my new office is astonished by is beauty and
elegance. No one can believe the craftsmanship that went in
to creation of this desk. It is truly the center piece of
my entire office building. I know that if I had not seen the
ad in Texas Monthly, I would have never found a one of a kind
mesquite desk like this one. The added touch of the Texas
A&M University Seal really makes the desk stand out in
my eyes. I think a desk like this is a once in a life time
opportunity for any
AGGIE, especially a South Texas native.
Finally, I really appreciate your helpfulness and willingness
to
create this piece for me.
Thanks again for all of your fine work.
Joe

Will and Vern-
It’s hard to even begin to find the proper words to
describe my appreciation and amazement for crafting such a
unique and beautiful desk for my home office. During
the first time I spotted your add in Texas Monthly…little
did I know that I would receive not only a remarkable office
piece, but develop friendships with two fine individuals.
You both brought such a personal touch to my buying experience
and for that I am grateful. From customizing the drawer
layout and pulls to inscribing A&M’s seal on the
front, I would like to thank you for allowing me the opportunity
to design the desk of my dreams. My expectation was
to just buy a desk, but yall rolled out the red carpet and
generated such confidence in my purchase.
It’s astounding to see just what Vern can do with 200
year old mesquite off some ranch in south Texas. You
can’t get much further away from ordinary and simultaneously
define true Texas. Folks who come by to visit just can’t
say enough!
Thank you both again for such a great experience and friendship!
Regards and God Bless-

Dear Will:
I have waited a long time to find the perfect hope chest for
our four precious children. I wanted to give them an heirloom,
something with unique craftsmanship and quality yet personalized
to pass down through our family for years to come.
Charles and I love the hope chests that we created for our children.
It is a special place to store there baby, youth and childhood
keepsakes. I know each of them will come to appreciate this
very special gift. Generations can open the hope chest and see
the original person’s name, birthdates and hopefully future
wedding, birthday dates engraved.
The Texas Seal is a unique touch that makes it even more exquisite.
The hope chests warm up the room and have made everyone feel
so special.
Thanks for making these hope chests come to life for our family,
God Bless You,
Elizabeth and Charles D.

Dear Will:
Thank you again for the wonderful custom mesquite desk you
constructed for my new study. I remember first seeing a picture
of a similar desk which you advertised in Texas Monthly Magazine
and immediately decided I needed something similar for my
home office. When I asked to visit your shop to see the construction
methods, there was no hesitation and meeting Vern, your craftsman,
was a pleasure. I especially appreciate that you worked with
me on customizing the desk size, drawer layout and drawer
pulls.
Thank you again for keeping me informed of the construction
progress and working with me on the delivery date. You and
your staff were very professional when you delivered the desk
on time at my home and I appreciate the care in the delivery
and placing the desk in my study.
Some people may prefer a “manufactured” piece
of furniture that looks just like a few hundred others. However
I will take great pride in owning a unique piece of furniture
made in Texas by craftsman with an eye for detail.
Thanks again for the beautiful mesquite desk.
Sincerely,

P.S. My wife says it’s time to start thinking about
a mesquite breakfast area table and chairs!
January 17, 2005 Sonny and I just wanted to drop you a line and express our happiness with your designs. We are so pleased with the mesquite bar top. It really is the focal point in our dining area. You have all been so easy to work with and understanding of our wishes. You took our ideas and meshed them into a wonderful finished product.
The end tables are perfect. The Twisted Horn Collection is a wonderful way to immortalize our wonderful old longhorn cow. Everyone who comes by to visit is very impressed with the detailed work.
We gave you our trust and you came through with one great product after another. Thank you for making our dreams come true with the items you designed for this house.
Did I mention the mantel? It accents the fireplace perfectly. Vernon is truly an artist!
What a blessing to have all of you in our lives!
Thanks so much!

Thank you Will, Vern, and the rest of Unique Mesquite for
crafting the most beautiful desk I have ever seen! It’s
been a real struggle living away from Texas and having a desk
made of Texas mesquite literally brings Texas into my office.
I have had everyone who has seen the desk comment on how beautiful
it is and I plan on keeping this in my family forever.
Texas and Texas A&M are very unique places and the design,
craftsmanship, and wood of this desk exemplify that uniqueness.
I would seriously recommend this desk for anyone who wants
to invest in a family treasure that will bring enjoyment and
pride to the owner. Job well done!
